Why Us (Our Products)

Purpose of Limestone in Glass marking

• Limestone is an important raw material in glass making and is used as a stabilizer to improves the mechanical properties and physical appearance & clarity of the glass.
• Glass industry required high limestone (CaCO3: 94.5%) and combined CaCO3 and MgCO3 should be 97.5%. Iron and other coloring matter like carbon are regarded as objectionable. For colorless glass, limestone should not be more than 0.04% Iron content; and for bottle glass Fe2O3 up to 0.05% is used.

Why our product?

Limestone from Rajasthan Chemicals & Minerals have captive mines at Sojat-Rajasthan is best for the glass industry as it has a high purity with:
• Low Iron limestone content typically < 0.07% Fe2O3 (Iron Oxide) and very low levels of undesirables and contaminants
• High Calcium Limestone content in the order of 97.00% CaCO3 (Calcium Carbonate)
• Consistent Magnesium content typically of less than 1% MgO (Magnesium Oxide). The Limestone that is produced can have both economic and environmental benefits to the glass producers.

Purpose of Limestone for Poultry/Animal feed

• Limestone is the most common source of calcium used in livestock feeding. The shell of each egg that hens are laying is made up of nearly 95% calcium carbonate by dry weight. To produce hard eggs, chickens will be consuming up 20 times the amount of calcium in one year than the amount of calcium that is contained in her actual bones. It is almost pure calcium carbonate. Calcitic limestone contains 36-38% calcium and can safely be fed free choice mixed with salt.

• Magnesium also play very important role in poultry feed and hence limestone should have minimum possible Magnesium.

• High Calcium Limestone The eggshell consists of the inner and outer shell membranes, the true shell and the cuticle. The crystalline layer of the shell, which is responsible for its mechanical strength, consists of more than 90% calcium in the form of calcium carbonate.

• Low Magnesium Limestone it has been found that feeding excess magnesium reduced growth and bone development of broilers. Tibia ash was reduced in chicks fed 0.9% magnesium. Magnesium altered phosphorus metabolism and increased the dietary need for phosphorus. Laying hens fed high levels of dietary magnesium have shown varying responses of important variables, including egg production, feed consumption, and eggshell quality.

Why our product?

Limestone from Rajasthan Chemicals & Minerals have captive mines at Sojat-Rajasthan is best for the Poultry/AnimalFeed industry as it has a high purity with:

• We manufacture limestone grits and limestone powder that is high in Calcium (>38%) and very low in Magnesium (Mg <0.6%) that can be efficiently used as Poultry Feed / Cattle Feed.

• Limestone is a rich source of CaCO3 should be used as large particles (1-3 mm,2-4mm and 3-5 mm) and form of powder in poultry feed. Limestone so used, should be low in magnesium.
